i like the french.

We the British in general tolerate the French, without liking them. Rather like a close relative,who is a bit odd, you smile, eat their food, but you can never love them. Close neighbours often have feuds and long term quarrels. The France / Britain animosity has lasted for many hundreds of years, and without bias I can say the French are a jealous race. Language, Politics,world influence,WW 1, WW 2,anything which suggests France is not a World player, and Thierry Henry turning into a Londoner!

Yeah most of them are fine.
I think the problem is not with the general English/French it is Parisians and Londoners.
Always rushing about with no time to treat the people they meet with respect. I saw this TV show where a guy was hanging off the side of a bridge in London, so many people just walked on past it sickened me.

Well the French are known to be very rude and obnoxious with the English. I have tried my French whilst on holiday and was asked to leave the resturant?!! I wasn't rude just asked if lobster was priced per kilo....so that kinda put me off trying to speak French again!! Depends on peoples experience - as with any other nationality - so I wouldn't take it personally.

I am british and like the french, especially a beautiful young french lady I had some fun with last year..mmmmmmmm

I have no problems with the French. Mind you, I can speak French so I can communicate in their language. I love most of the food in France and the wine is to die for !!!! Yummy!

I'm sure some are okay but I personally still can't forgive the burning of imported live sheep by the French farmers!

I know the Brits dont like the french as a nation but I personally dont have a problem with them. I like to think I judge people as individuals

They must like Them, they fought their war and won, twice. The French seem to suffer from Amnesia about that.

yeah i did until i visited paris and all the people were either miserable or arrogant/ignorant....its the french who dont like us brits if anything

hiya,i dont mind the french,had a trainee baker come to work with me once and he said the majority of the french hate the british,summat to do with the past and politics i think.
