My wife smokes. I have allergies and breathing problems so this is a big problem. We will have a fight over her smoking in the house and for about two days she will go outside to smoke. then she smokes inside "just this one time" and continues to smoke inside from then on. I give up for a while not wanting to fight all the time. It is hurtful the lack of consideration and maybe says something of how she views our relationship.

Yes. I really dont like it. She knows I dont like it but it is more important to her than the fact that I dont like it. But she's also the type to say well you do this and I dont like that. IT's terrible. I wish I would have known how much I dont like it when we married, of course she never smoked that much. But she was probably doing it the whole time. Women do that all the time.

My bigger complaint is that she has trouble getting pregnant. i dont think it helps to smoke.

Good luck you are not alone.

My husband did smoke, and i think it did affect us. He would lie about doing it, and sometimes he would come home after smoking and i couldnt even kiss him, because he tasted like cigarettes and it was gross. He has since quit, so i really appreciate him for that.

My hubby smokes like a chimney. Tried to get him to stop. My mission failed. Just learned to live with it.

we both smoked, i quit because of asthma, he continued.
i continually told him i did not want him to die from cancer, so he finally quit. but i would not kiss him until he brushed his teeth when he was still smoking, and it was/is not allowed in the house.

I smoke.......husband doesn't..........and no I don't think it effects our relationship.

He knew I smoked 18 years ago when he met me.Not like it was a big surprise or anything.
