Could you just use one of those big clear plastic storage containers for an aquriam?

Yes. Many people use them when they need a hospital tank or if something has happened to their normal tank. You can even hook up filters and decorate it just like a normal tank, it's like a mini pond. Just make sure it never had any type of soap in it.

I suppose you could, but would depend on the type of fish and if it will need a filter/heater.
