Read their Theme Song -
One variation of the theme song is as follows:

My name's Coco and I swing from the trees,
I live in the jungle, I'm a monkey you see.
When I get hungry I'll even eat leaves,
But I'd rather have a bowl of Cocoa Krispies.
I help myself often and I try to say please,

Coco Pops (known as Cocoa Krispies in the United States) was renamed Cocoa Rice Krispies in 2003 as Kellogg's endeavoured to unite their Rice Krispies variations under a single marketing schema.

It's all very magical! Sort of like lucky charms are magically delicious! Are you sure you posted this question in the right section? I would think it be more of a science experiment. I think it incredible that they can put all the vitimins in with all the sugar and crap and cox parents into buying it for their kids, which in turn become addicted to it. Maybe that's where the magic comes in! Have a lovely day!

The cocoa is in the mixture before they turn it into a puff. All it is it chocolate kix. If they were coated in chocolate when they got in your bowl the coating would come off and they would turn white or yellow. They stay brown which tells you they were chocolate before they were puffed.
