take Gardner leave, i think that's what it's called.This leave is usually offered, as a time for you to find another job, but you can always ask for it. You'll still get the full pay and don't have to work. Then you can get a job and don't tell them otherwise they will not pay up.

No. If you start a new job before you work out your redundancy notice, you'll lose your redundancy pay and other payments coming to you such as part of your holiday pay. Look for another job in a month or so when there's less time to wait before you can start a new job. Prospective employers are put off if you say you can't start work for a couple of months. The very best of luck with finding a new job.

No. You will have resigned before your job ended.
In all honesty it'll probably take nine weeks to get another job anyway. Just tell people your not available until the day after you leave your current job.

No and it stinks. And if you have say 6wks redundancy payment you can't claim dole either for that 6wks.
