My friend sure could use a few extra bucks. The refrigerator he is trying to sell me he has overpriced by about $20 dollars, but I figured - Hey what are friends for.... Should I help a bud out or just buy brand new?

I have plenty of money. I'd like to buy to help my friend, and then if it DUD's out and breaks I can test to see what sort of friend he is??? See if he would return my money to me? I know I would for a friend, but then again I have money

Dont' buy from a friend. Why ruin a friendship over something like a fridge

Depends, is the fridge worth the extra money you are paying, and is the new one in better condition? It really depends on cost and is it worth it? I mean if you want to buy your friends, and pay an extra 20.00 and then turn around and have to buy another one brand new in a few months, come to find out it's a dud.. you know? Do you think you will be wasting your money? I'd go for the new one, if you have the money. Your friend will have to get over you not buying theirs... It shouldnt hurt their feelings though. Good Luck.

when you buy used appliances from a stranger ot friend... it is a "as is" deal... if it is running good when you get it and lets say a month from now it dies... its not your friends fault... if you want a guarantee buy a new frig... frigs are good for at least 20 years... there the one appliance that has less problems than any other... buy it... you'll save some money and help a friend at the same time... just remember if it dies it a gamble you took... not your friend... Hope this helps

If you are willing to buy brand new, I would go that route. Why would your friend sell a perfectly wonderful refrig? It's probably filthy inside and smelly, and it could be damaged in transport. You'll have a warrantee with a new one, and if something quickly goes wrong with your buddy's refrig, he's going to shrug and say " sorry about that"

If the fridge is in good condition, whats $20. If you can afford a new one, buy it though it will have a warranty.

Just remember, a used refrigerator is like a used banana. Words to live by my friend, words to live by.

No. If you want to help out the buddy, give him the $20.00 and buy yourself a new fridge.
