Yes I have! Not the big prize mind you! I used to work for them many years ago. (couldn't play then)There are only two of the winning Monopoly pieces for the grand prize. Not even the company knows where they go. The game pieces are sent out in huge boxes of about 1,000 and delivered by their delivery company Martin Brower.
When the pieces are made and boxed up they have no idea where they will end up. But think about the odds for a second. There are ONLY TWO winning pieces in all the thousands of boxes that go out to the thousands of McD's around the country. You have about the same chance as winning the jackpot in the lottery.
However, there are thousands of smaller prizes like drinks, fries, burgers etc. You have a reasonable chance of getting one of those.

Years ago in Australia... I matched all pieces required to win a computer. When I took it in and showed them they said they couldnt give it to me as the promotion had closed and I was too late. Wasnt there fault really..... it was more mine for leaving it too long, but they could of at least given me something.
I also know someone who won $20 from it a few years back.

Because of insider theft with the printer a few years ago, the executives pick a restaurant name and location out of the fishbowl, travel and then monitor the store with the winning game piece in that restaurant's group of tickets.

I think the big prizes are a scam. I've never heard of or known anyone to win anything except food.

I work at McD's, and a co-worker told me they keep the big money pieces, like short line railroad, in the warehouse until the game is over. That's just hearsay, though, I'm still trying to win.:)
