Anyone know of any reports or surveys that say when the most common time of the year to move house is?

The first Friday in August used to be the biggest house moving day for people in the UK, that was from a survey done by Phil and Kirsty on Location, Location, Location a few years ago, might be different now, guess you could see if there are any house move websites that will give you the updated information.

I find (working for a removal company that is. www.ukatlantis.co.uk ) that the main trends are one of two things, well really it's one thing but then vice-versa.

People tend to either move from a populated area to a quiet, country-like place.
Where as people in the country tend to move to a more populated area like a town or city.
