That is a fantastic question!! We only come close when we say "newborn"...maybe because you start to get old right away after you are a newborn!!!

Because in that context, the opposite of old is young. Old and new are used to describe nonliving things.

children aren't usually thought of as "people" yet. babies are sometimes refered to as new babies or newborns.
