because they grow up with these boy bands on their walls and dream about running away or having dinner with them. then when they go to see them in concert its like unreal they cant control their excitement. i know i did it with take that.

They are just plain stupid. I can understand a lot of cheering after each song, etc, but plain screaming is ridiculous.
your point is quite right, how are they going to hear the music... well this is the answer.... they aren't there to hear the music, they are there to look at the guys in the band because they are groupies.

I think it's some primal adoration thing.
A couple of years ago a wrong turn meant I was stuck in a 2 foot wide security space between Elijah Wood and a few hundred screaming girls. The noise was defening and he looked completely terrified. There's no way on earth I would've traded places with him.
It wasn't the sound of happy girls pleased to see Elijah, it was the sound of screaming hormones that would've killed anything in their path to get at him. It was completely deranged.
I'm sure I was never like that.

i wouldnt call them stupid atall. you got to remember most of these girls are in their very early teens and are simply just pure excited at seeing the band they cherish and adore.
to girls a boy band at their age is everything... they buy all the mags with pictures and stories, have posters all over their walls, wait and wait for each new single and run out the buy the album the day its released.
its just the way they express their joy and cant believe they are actually seeing them in the flesh
i dont know why we do it but alot of girls can probably relate to it. i know i used to be obsessed by take that the first time around..if i had to to see them in concert the first time i know i would have screamed and shouted and just been over the moon. now at 24 and take thats second time around i would be totally different!

the reason the beatles stopped playing live shows is because of this. back in '66 at shea stadium, the beatles couldn't even hear themselves in their stage monitors because the girls in the crowd were so loud. not a bad thing really, because the focused all their energy in their studio. soon after that, they released revolver, sgt peppers and the white album, some of the greatest recordings ever.

No,they are not stupid.
Yes,they do want to hear the music.
They scream because it's a form of sexual stimulation and release. If it's a good concert then you're in luck because they will certainly be up for anything you want!

using fact they get fairly excited at seeing their widespread idol all tho i dont scream whilst i flow to stay shows i merely have relaxing now and back if ur in front row and you have a team of ladies screaming in ur earole is terrible i had to flow homestead with a headache
