My parents have lived in two houses both have had ghosts and I have had the experience of seeing some thing in both houses.

The first house was a very old house which had been converted into 6 large apartments it had been at one time a family home.

At the top of the house the apartments there where always experiencing things doors slamming, items moving, and there was the regular sighting of a butler which made sense as their rooms where originally where the apartment stood.

Also there was often a sighting of a young girl on the lawn in front of the house and when I went to investigate further I found out that the family had a young daughter who was killed outside the gate in-front of the house in an accident involving her carriage.

I can not explain what I saw but it was in day light in the afternoon wonder if I looked like a ghost to them!

The second house was a converted pub in Dorset and is in the section of town that was popular to pirates thiefs and the such like known as cut throat St James.

Our apparition that all the family have seen is a elderly gentleman who walks through from the garden into the kitchen which was orignaly the back entrance to the bottle room continues into our lounge which was the bar and then goes.

So do I believe yes all the ghosts have never been nasty and after a while they intergrate into the family.
If you believe is your own choice but why not have an open mind.

I can't say that I actually believe in ghosts but I don't say that they couldn't exist. That's because I know that what I experienced was actually being in the company of a ghost. I live in the Middle East in a city called Doha which is in Qatar. The city where I live gives way very quickly to the desert and you can be walking in the dunes in a matter of minutes away from the malls and shops of the town. I do a lot of power walking in the desert and it is usually at night when the moon is up and shining into the sea. About a month ago I was walking along my usual route and passed by the walled muslim graveyard, of which there are many in the desert, and I saw a man come out of the graveyard through the two heavy metal gates. He was wearing dark trousers and a tee shirt and came up to me and started chatting. For some reason I never questioned what he was doing coming out of there at that time but there you go. We talked in arabic for a while and he asked me where I lived and I said in my district Najma. He said that he hadn't been there for years. That was the first thing. Then I asked him where he lived and he pointed back to that cemetery. I never thought about it thinking that he was indicating some house in the distance but there were no houses around for miles. He repeated 'over there' and then when I turned my head there was no one there. He had literally disappeared. The distance by then from me to that cemetery was probably as far as you could see to the horizon and there was no way he could have run there so quickly that I could not see him. And there was another thing that struck me about the whole thing. When I had peeked, out of interest, into that cemetery I tried to open the gates and they wouldn't budge more than an inch. So I couldn't go in. He, when I remembered, open the gates with great ease and they didn't make any sound unlike when I tried to open them. And another rather disturbing fact was that while my feet were grinding on the rough stony ground of the desert, his were making no sound at all. I think it was a one off thing. He hasn't appeared again. I probably wasn't much use to him and couldn't help him to move along to the next phase of his attempt to get to 'heaven' for most probably he is stuck here in the 'never never' because of some bad deed he did when he was alive.

Yes I believe there are those who have for some reason or another have not passed on to the other side (I know - what a cliche). I spent four days and three nights at the Myrtles Plantation in Louisiana and have photos of a woman in a long dress in a mirror that was not there when I took the photo. I woke during the night to feel a small hand clutching mine but it was not a scary experience. You can get the history of this plantation at myrtlesplantation.com. It was quite an experience.

Hi, dont think of ghosts as something scary they are only people who once lived like you, their spirit still lives on.Spirit themselves laugh when people say ghosts and if that,s the case we will all end up as ghosts one day.Ghosts as you call them can help us a lot in our daily lives especially family who have passed on.
We can never break that bond of love we had for people we loved, even after death.Bless them all.

Yes. When i was 4 years old, my dad turned off my bedroom light so it was complete darkness, i was sleeping in the same room as my brother at the time, we were at opposite sides of the bed, i seen this dark shadow in the pitch black, it was darker than the dark though, very skinny and tall about 7 or 8 feet, no face no nothing, just walked over to me with its hand coming forward at me. i started screaming and my brother said he didnt see anything, my dad turned on the light and i didnt see it anymore. afraid of the dark since, and now i'm 21.

I do and I have seen one and my friend saw it to at the same time so I know it wasn't just me imagining it. It was years ago but I still remember it and I don't want to see another.
