It depends what you define as "celebrity". Tom Cruise - yes; Jade Goody - no. Celebrity should be about people you aspire to be like, who do something out of the ordinary, and so on. The public is so fickle now that absolutely *anyone* can claim to be a celebrity (albeit Z-list), and the public chew them up and spit them out again. I couldn't give a monkeys about nearly all of them, though I have to admit to buying Vanity Fair magazine on subscription, because the people they feature are, to me, really interesting for something other than being on some rancid reality-tv show

Well I just happen to love what is going on in Hollywood. What kind of entertainment would we have...doesn't just about everyone like going to see movies? Instead of sports I like to watch events like the Oscars, Emmys and see what all the women are wearing if they are thin, fat or whatever...that may be silly to some....probably most of the men on here but oh well that is my point of view. I just think it should be against the law to let celebrities get married...but how would the lawyers make the big bucks...lololol

No..Not really...but when I see a celebrity that is so unhappy, then it makes me feel better about being poor. It just shows that even with all that money, they are still miserable human beings too.

a celebrity is someone people,who consider themselves inferior,tend to look up to.As these kind of people tend to form a majority in society,the media publicises them to a good extent.Keen observation will tell you that people who are content with life the way it is don't really give a damn about anything superficial --least of all celebs!!

Some people can't get enough of what is going on in Hollywood...others, like me, just don't care.
Celebs are just people who get paid outrageous amounts of money to do what they do (some of which is crap).

Celebs my ****, most of them are Attention Seekers, who live off a parent / parents fame or fortune, they're a complete waste of space.
