When you are called by a pollster in the next two weeks, LIE TO THEM. Tell them the exact opposite of who you plan to vote for.

This will result in a much larger margin of error in the polls, if enough people do this.

The result will be more principled positions from the politicians as they generally watch the polls and spin their message to match the poll numbers.

If the polls become less useful to them, some (the smart ones) will state their position and win or lose based on their ideas, not the poll numbers.

Prinicpled positions from politicians? Ha ha ha!

If they do not have polls, they will simply turn to where the money is coming from for their positions, although most do that now.

Their personal ideas appear to matter very little to their votes and behavior ranging from Mark Foley to all the Catholic Dems who state the "I am personally opposed to abortion, but think it should be legal" crowd. It is both parties.

As much as I hate it, party trumps person. Both R's & D's have moved away from what they originally stood for. Some of this was necessary, but most of it was from the lunatic far Righties & far Lefties (like Michael Moore) that have ambushed the parties.

But, if I have to pick the best turd in the toilet, the R's are still far better are most issues.

truth and politicians!!!!! an oxymoron, if u ever heard 1. :)
politicians --whatever their color, country, age, size, qualifications---see their work as an accupation, and want to make the most money out of it.
even if we implement ur solution, and get some 'principled positions' from the politicians, don't be so sure that they will practise what they preach. it is a breed that is not supposed to be honest and god fearing. U r supposed to be politician fearing though.

Don't get your hopes up. Politicians don't know any other way of life but lies, truth-stretching, issue avoiding, etc. In other words, the only prerequisite for becoming a politician is...
One must be a Blatant Liar.

That is ridiculous. I want to know who is ahead in the polls and there is no way I would give them false information. Your entire premise is faulty.
