I want to get out this weekend and see one, but alas I have no friends to go with.

I go watch movies by myself 90% of the time. It helps me enjoy the movie more. That's my preference at least. Anyway, try going alone; you might like it. Here's another advice: stay until AFTER the end credits roll. Very few people do that nowadays, myself included. However, the way I see it, since I spent good money on the movie I might as well see it until the very end. Of course, that's up to you. Have fun, and enjoy whatever it is you plan to watch!

I've been to the movies alone. Personally, if I'm by myself, I usually go in the afternoon when it's not so crowded. Most theaters have cheaper prices in the afternoon before 5pm. I often see people alone at the theater anytime of the day.

I would and have gone alone. I suggest going in the afternoon or a weekday evening. You would probably feel more self conscious on a weekend evening.

If you want to see the movie, then go see it and enjoy it. Who cares? Some people are too worried about it, but it's no reason to not enjoy yourself. If your friends are not around, do you still exist? Of course you do. If it really bothers you, just pretend you are at home watching TV.

Why shouldn't you? Just because no one is available to keep you company doesn't mean you can't enjoy the movie alone.....unless you are one of those "loud people" who has to talk with their co-horts throughout the entire film and annoy the rest of us....in that case you should always go alone!

I have done so plenty of times, since I am the only one (that I know of) that will pay to see movies over and over again.

Personally I wouldn't but I have some friends that have done it before if they're bored on a saturday afternoon or something and everyone else is busy.

Why not go by yourself?? Get yourself some buttered popcorn and a coke sit back relax and enjoy the movie!!!!
