we have a spider infestation, and I want to buy insect killer. (I hate spiders, I don't care whether they're good or bad). I'm in London and I'd like to know where I can get some. supermarket? boots? I've not been in the UK long enough to have needed to know this before.

that spiders hate conkers, and since this is the conker season now, why don't you go and pick some and put some around the house?

Vacuum clean the nests, usually in corners, that will remove the eggs, leave the spiders to catch the flies.

You can get it in supermarkets - Sainsburys for sure, hardware shops such as Homebase and B&Q and I'm pretty sure you can even get it in your local corner shop if its well stocked..
