Do they (you?) also rally strongly against any celebrities who support Republican candidates and causes?

I grew up with Chris Reeve and you can't tell me anything bad about him. he was an extremely brave, decent and honest person, and now he is dead. Why would you attack him? He raised a lot of money to help people. To me that shows the caliber of person who would support Rush. Thank you for educating me.

I don't care what anyone who supports a candidate says...people have to look at the candidate themselves not other people who say they like them....check histories, passed voting records, previous experiance, etc...I am not going to vote for the Dems or the Reps just because some Celeb says I should...

A lot of Republicans don't care for Rush Limbaugh's way of presenting his material, but he DOES have his statements pretty well documented. Limbaugh said repeatedly that he is sorry for Michael J. Fox's condidtion, and that he felt that Fox was being duped by the Democrats. I don't think FOX was being "duped" or "used" at all. Fox has always been an avid Democrat, like so many in Hollywood, and he made his pitch willingly. Anyone who is at all familiar with Parkinson's disease could see that Fox was either deliberately putting on a show or that he was off his medication. Either way, it is also well known that the treatment for Parkinson's doesn't involve or require embryonic stem cells, nor MANDATORY, UNLIMITED, and IRREVERSIBLE TAXATION and a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT to be passed by a simple majority, against the will of a very large number of the citizens of Missouri.

I support Rush in his "attack" on Fox. Fox made a commercial that took a political position, he has the right to his opinion. But once he has made an opinion others have the right to criticize him. His celebrity status and illness does not give him immunity for criticism of his political views.

I do not rally against celebrities who support Republican causes of course but I realize Hollywood does. They are big believers in free speech as long as you agree with them.

Fox coming out in support of candiates, against Republican candidates and supporting expanded embryonic stem cell research are all legitimate target points to attack him on and dispute his stands.

Problem is, Rush didn't attack him for his views, didn't challenge his stance, but rather attacked him BECAUSE of his Parkinson's.

But that's Rush for you. Anyone expecting anything more elevated or intellectual from him is hopelessly deluded.

I'm against what Rush said. I am; however, not impressed that Michael J Fox would use his illness as a poltical hit job. The fact is Michael J Fox has given and raised an ENORMOUS amount of money for stem cell research (which I applaud him for). However, now he wants either the tax payers to fund it or the Dems to win for other reasons. Money won't cure him, science will. The funding is there (although it's private funding).

I do not support Rush.
One could probably say the same thing about Rush: he really didn't go deaf.
Or, he really was faking an illness that got him addicted to drugs.

Seems to me that Rush and his ilk are reaching out for any way to stop the slow demise of the Republican-controlled Congress.
And this includes defaming anyone who dares to think differently.

Rush is a true believer...he does not question anything by the Republican party.
That is why I like Bill O'Reilly...he may be conservative, but he questions everything and everyone.

I thought it was in very bad taste. The video of Rush imitating Fox, in particular, was way over the line. He could have made his point without being grotesque, but then he wouldn't be Rush. Some people like that kind of thing, fires them up.

I think that it is indeed possible that MJF was "acting" in the campaign spot. Other recent video of him shows him in much better control. If that is the case, then I think it was also in bad taste to exaggerate your illness for political gain.

I will avoid patronizing any business or celebrity that supports Republicans, but I don't feel the need to protest them. Just use my dollars. I'm sure staunch Republicans do the same thing. Dollars are the real votes in this country.

I gather you haven't listened to Rush with an open mind. He is not attacking Fox because he is a celebrity. He is attacking Fox for two major reasons. One, the democrat he is supporting voted against legislation that would provide the research Fox is advocating for. Two, Fox admits he deliberately did not take his medication so that he would appear much worse than he actually is during the interview. Yes, I support his attack.

All I can say is that the media is taking this WAY out of context and leaving out important parts of what Rush said. The ad featuring MJF is misleading in that it suggests that the opponent is against stem cell research, which is untrue. The part that he's against is CLONING....
