Sometimes I have a hard time believing everything is random. If the past DOES in fact shape the present, then doesn't future have to be pre-determined? It made me think that everything from the moment of the Big Bang is pre-determined. And if the future is pre-determined, does time as we know even exist? I think of this in terms of the sum of ALL past events shaping the present. This also begs the question of could the future (in theory) actually be predictied?

Actions are random in the human mind, but pre-determined by the mind of God.

I believe our lives have a beginning and a end. During the course of our life we have a purpose and certain lessons the soul needs to learn. There is a reason, why people come in and out of our life, and why we meet people say in line at the grocery store. That would the mapped out part of life. The random, is the choices we make. To rob the store with a gun and shoot someone, to marry someone we are not supposed to. For this reason the future could not predicted in the way of your life will end at 25 due to a freak accident. But History does repeat itself.

everything that has happened in our past only shapes the future in the sense that we (the human race) should learn not only from our technological advances but from our failures as well. i have heard it said that if we don't learn from our past then we are doomed to repeat it you can see it on many different scales in history

in the case of the future being predetermined yes it is but i do not belive that any human could predict the future or even concieve any sort of relevant bearing on what the future holds from even events that occurred in the past.

as humans we are given the power to create history. the entire span of human existance is not even a blink of an eye compared to eternity. which is all that will be left after the world ends. the day after tomorrow or a million years from now

the big bang theory would be random , but if you are to believe things are predetermined [which i believe] then you must consider that everything that happens to you is planned , planned by somebody . well who is that somebody? this is the easy part GOD is the 1 who's planned everything , he's the 1 in control here

i do not belive anything is predestined. for every action ther is a reaction and life is affected by everyones minute to minute choices. i believe we each have a destiny to follow but how and if we get there is not written in stone. so many others choices are affecting everyone's lifes and therefore their choices affect, their choices, affect their choices, etc...there are no certanties in life!

everything is random, the only time something is predetermined is if you plan on doing it, nobody rules our lives or what we do except for ourselves
