I don't personally think you should be worried. Spotting does happen in the first trimester. Backaches are extremely common during pregnancy also. The only thing I'm not sure about are the cramps. What I will say is that when I miscarried, I had the most horrible cramps that I have ever had in my life. And I didn't spot. I bled. It was like I was starting my period. All in all, you know that the only way to guarantee that everything is fine is to go talk to your doctor. But I would try not to stress too much. If you do, and everything turns out fine, the stress can still hurt your baby. Good luck and I wish you the best.

What color is it? If it is brown don't worry about it, it is old.
How bad is the cramping. Wow! You found out early! I don't think your uterus would expand just yet, but it could be implantation cramping.
Call the doctor and get your HcG level checked....are you 4.5 or 6.5 weeks....remember to start counting from the first day of your last period.
I had this with my son.....no cramping but quite a bit of dark brown blood it scared me so badly....I went into the ER crying that I was losing my baby....He is four now.
My sister-in-law and good friend had 2 full blown periods when they were pregnant.....imagine their suprise!
Good luck sweetie! Call the doctor and ask (he may try and put you off) for a blood test...then you can feel better and not be so scared...until the next time...this is what we do.

Of course, we are not your dr, but we can share experiences. During my second pregnancy, I had extreme backpains from the very beginning. I went to the Dr at 6 weeks (mine won't even see you until you are at least 6-8 weeks along), and the sonogram showed a small sac. Two weeks later, I had cramping and slight bleeding in the morning. I called my nurse, and she told me to just take it easy and stay in bed. I miscarried two days later on July 4th. If in fact you are about to miscarry, there really isn't anything you have done or can do about it. I would go see the Dr asap if the spotting is bright red or increases to be like a period.

I have three kids. I did not experience that, although I do remember the *slight* cramping. It is common (although it didn't happen to me) to spot while pregnant. However, I'd call your dr's office. .. you should be able to talk to a nurse at least. They'll put your mind at ease, probably have you come in or go to the er to be sure. Good luck!!

Go to the doctor and have them check you because I made the same mistake and did have a miscarriage. I thought it was normal until I started to bleed heavy like a regular period and then it happened. It was the worst thing ever to happen.

the symptoms you describe could be the same as symptoms of a miscarriage, but they could also be just a case of normal pregnancy malaise & jitters, unless you are high risk or prone to miscarriages, try not to stress yourself out~that isn't good for you OR baby.
if your bleeeding becomes severe, dark or with heavy clotting, then you should perhaps be concerned.
check with your doctor or an OB/GYN just to be sure.
good luck with the pregnancy

It does not sound like you miscarried. However, just to make sure you need to call your doctor today. When I was pregnant with my first child I was also spotting. It scared me and I called my doctor. He had me come in and they did an ultrasound. I was able to see my daughter's heartbeat! Call your doctor...
