Ouiji boards do work, and I will not go near them myself. I've grown up in a family with a different religious background then most. Quiji boards somehow open up a gateway between this world and the spirit world, and it's mostly evil spirits that hang around gateways.
I've had too many close friends that got answers that completely freaked them, then when they tried to get rid of the board, it always came back. One even went as far as burning the board, only to find it on her bed the next day. And I'm completely serious about that one!
If you decide to use one, please be careful.

I have.
These things, if you do not know how to use them, are very bad news.
There are several things that the instructions on newer boards do not say that are very important.
First of all, if you are going to do this, make sure you are in a space with light. KNOW who you are with - make sure you are very close with them, know them inside and out. Call a specific person - DO NOT let the board choose who answers things for you. If you do that, you may be inviting something you really don't want in.
When you call, say Hello to them - this is common courtesy. Do not just start asking questions.
And the most important thing -
If the board tells you "Good Bye" STOP USING THE BOARD. It means whoever/whatever you are communicating with no longer wants to communicate. RESPECT THIS.
When you are through, tell your communicator Good Bye using the board. If it responds with "Good Bye" you have (usually) safely closed the portal.
Personally, after the one time I used a board, I will never do so again. I have never felt the same since that day, and it was 12 years ago.

If you really want to do this which I strongly advise you against, to protect yourself you must imagine a white circle around you and whoever is playing the game with you and a seperate circle around the ouija board.
Improvise this circle with candles(lit) and ask for a genuine spirit if you get a load of gobbledygook don't worry but if you get any threats stop the game straight away.
They work with a number of people sitting on the floor with a glass and a board with numbers from 0-9 on it and letters from a-z it also has hello, goodbye, yes and no written on it.
all participants put their finger on the glass and you ask a question the glass will move (by itself) and spell out the answer to the question you have asked good look and don't use it too much it can get addictive and its not a party game its dangerous.

DO NOT DO IT, I know of people who have deeply regretted it afterwards and yes they can work if you say the right words, a teacher I knew( she swears by it, and of course this was when she was younger) who didn't take part in one but who's friends did, have had terrible luck since, thoguh i'm not deeply supersticious this is one thing I would leave well alone, apparently when pals did it , the glass moved around and spelt out frightening messages, then the glass broke, don't mess with the spirit world or they will mess with you!

I would never use one because they are a portal and you never know what kind of spirit is going to come out of it. Bad things happen when using one. I have heard that the spirits lie and tell you what you want to hear just so bad ones can come through. Scary stuff. Many people feel that Ouija Boards are dangerous to use. It depends on who uses them and the entities they attract. Dysfunctional people will attract dysfunctional entities and should never use a ouija board or channel in any way.

yes when i was younger we used to play it all the time and no nothing bad happened we are all still alive and well and no strange accidents occurred but it does work i do not pretend to know why it works or how as no one really knows that but the glass moves round the table and answers questions we even put washing up liquid on top so no one could push it! it works its spooky as u like but from my experience its not dangerous as long as your nice we never abused whatever force moves the glass and were always polite and kind to it sometimes it even done tricks like turning radio on opening drawers etc we jus saw it as a bit of fun and it was if your easily spooked i wouldn't do it but if u got the stomach for it go have fun jus be respectful as no one out there knows whats moving the glass so play your cards right and assume it could hurt u if u piss it off
also as for disposal when we got boared we put it out for the bin man who took it away and it was never seen again worry not about the horror storys the are urban myths

About 40 years ago my friend and I found one of these in her grandmas attic and needless to say we had to have a go! The pencil which was supposed to write the message was not very good so we resorted to an upturned glass and pieces of paper with letters of the alphabet on, so no it did not work for us unless we were doing it all wrong!

No I don't use Ouija boards. They of course are a bunch of bunk (c_ap if you will). But I have seen people (my brother and sister among them) get the c_ap scared out of them. Even though they are just a piece of fiberboard and a pointer and are moved by the people that use them people who believe that crap can mess themselves up. So I say leave them be.

No chance! And not seances, either. You can call up all sorts of evil forces at both of these, & pos leave you mentally scarred for life. The dead are best left alone. Never let the genie out of the bottle.

no, i've never played with it, but i've watched my brother and his friends play which was creepy enough. the board kept spilling my personal, private information that nobody that was playing knew of. so i believe, yes, it is true and it "works". just be careful, because i have heard of scary horror storieS!
