Why would you want to pierce her ears at such an early age?? Don't you think SHE has the right to decide if she wants them pierced or not?? It's really not fair for you to make that choice for her. It DOES hurt, that's why they cry. How do you know if she has an allergy to certain metals?? Are you ready for her to have a reaction??
I think you should wait until she asks you to get her ears pierced. It needs to be her choice. My daughter got hers pierced when she was 8, almost 9. She took care of them by herself. When she had it done, we made a day of it. It was a "girls day out" and it was fun. We got them pierced and went to lunch and went shopping for more jewelry. She was proud and happy because she did it when she was ready. It was also beneficial to us because she can't wear anything other than sterling silver. No, she can't wear gold either. I would have been upset to have her ears pierced too young and have her get a bad reaction to the metals. Even earrings for sensitive ears don't work. Only sterling silver. At least she's old enough to understand that and know how to care for them. I'm proud of her.
Don't make this be about you or what you want. Wait and let her decide. Then you BOTH can enjoy it.

Almost any place does it ast 6 months. Call ahead and make sure they have TWO employees there so that they can do both ears at the same time--a little less traumatic that way.
My personal opinion is to wait until they are older and you can make a whole fun day out of it that they will remember, but I also admit that baby girls do look cute with tiny earrings in. My daughter is 2 and I am waiting until she is school age.
Good luck!

my mom toke me to get my ears pierced when i was 4 months. I wore earrings til i was 8 and then stopped wearing them until i 16. one good thing about doing them so early is that when she does get older, if she doesn't like them, she can always take them out and let the holes grow in. like me though, no matter how long they are out, they may never grow in, but at least then its just a matter of whether or not she wants to wear earrings. Plus, its not like the hole is all that noticeable in the first place.

Here in San Antonio, they pierce ears at the pediatrician's office. I would say that would be the safest place to go. And I've seen babies as young as 6 weeks old having their ears pierced. I think as long as it's a safe, sterile environment, you should be fine.

No its not too early and mostly any jeweler would be able to do that for her. My daughter got hers done at 5 months. Some jewelers wont do it before 6 months. Shes of age. There shouldnt be any problems and you wont regret it. My daughter looks adorable with hers
dont listen to some og these remarks. Shes your daughetr you decide. Its easier when they are younger. They dont feel it as much. How many girls do you know that dont have peirced earrings. shes going to eventually want some and when shes 6-7-8 even older and wants them done it will be uncomfortable for er. It will hurt and she will not stop playing with them and she will have more risk of infection.
and when they are that young yes they are kind of like dolls. You dress them up and make them look all cute and adorable. I dont think that person with that remark has kids
If she doesnt want them when she gets older she just takes them out. Itll heal
My daughter is now 4 and she loves her earrings. Shes always asking to go buy some new ones like her friends

I had my daughters ears pierced at 3 months old. Walmart will do it at 3 months or older. Just take really good care of them and NO hoop ear rings!

Personally I don't think you should have your child's ears pierced at that age, so many things can go wrong infection wise.
I am not sure what its like where you live, but where I am they wont do piercings on a child so young.

I would let her decide when she gets old enough (I'm thinking around 8). I'm 28 and have never had my ears pierced - simply don't want them.

Why would you want to put holes in your baby, let her decide if she wants holes in her ears when she is old enough to make that decision. Some people shouldn't have kids at all, so irresponsible!
