Wash them in hot water, but don't dry them on high as they'll shrink. This may take a few processes. Also make sure you're not using a detergent that helps colors not to fade...if you remember the commercial with the young boy who wanted his dark blue pants to fade and he kept washing them but didn't realize he was using a detergent to prevent fading...
If you want you can add a tiny bit of bleach to the wash. Just make sure you add it to the water first before anything goes in it. a 1/4 cup should work.

put them outside on the line.
My husband's black jeans fade pretty bad when I do that. He likes them black black...so I wound up dumping them to goodwill. Try going to goodwill, I'm sure they have some 'old' looking jeans there.

Take a cloth or a rag and put a little bleach on it and rub for a while and the color will start to fade. You can do that on any color or pair of jeans.

wear gloves in your hand, take a lump of cotton wool, dip it in a raw solution of Liquid Bleach (like Robin Liq Bleach which is a soln of Sodium hypo-chloride) then draw vertically till the cotton woll contain solution. Then repeat the operation for untouched portions of the pant.
5 min later dip the pant in hot(80-90 deg celcius) water and stay it in hot water for 30min.
Then wash it with warm water (40 deg celcius) and detergent.
Let me know your comments after said treament.

Try a little bleach, or you can get the stuff in the dye section, and take thecolor out and redye them. You could keep washing them.
