If you want Really Good -- then you should probably apply to schools in the US. I would estimate that 15 of the top 20 MBA programs are in the USA. The 30th ranked school in the USA would probably be better than the best MBA program in most countries.

The only schools outside North America that I would consider first rate are London Business School (UK) and INSEAD (France). There are a few good B-Schools in Canada (University of Western Ontario, University of Toronto, University of British Columbia).

But the best ones are in the US. I've provided two links below that show rankings of US schools. My personal rankings are:

Mind you...getting Admission to these Top Management Institutes is NO Cake Walk. You need to attempt different Entrance Exams, and be among the top scorers (as the Cut-off is very high)...And if you are among the Top Scorers..you need to appear for personal interview and Group discussion (GD)

Your Selection will depend on your Entrance Exam Scores and how you fare in the Interview and GD.

In India, apart from IIM which requires high grades in CAT, for a better than average graduate, the best B school is IFMR in Chennai or Symbiosis in Mumbai.
