Yes, it's hard to become a pharmacist, but it's worth it. Start out by taking some prereqs at your local community college. You'll have to make it to Calculus. Also, chemistry and physics use a lot of math. There will be enough financial aid dollars in pharmacy, but it's all loans. You will make enough money as a pharmacist to pay it back in no time.
Talk to the pharmacist you work with and he/she will be able to give you more advice.
I'm a 22 year old second year pharmacy student, and someone, I make it by.

You could start with "Why do I like working in a pharmacy so much" verses "Do I really want to struggle with math and science just to work in a pharmacy" There are other things to look at too, do you have the money and time to pursue this career choice and support yourself at the same time? But...if you did go the science and math route (maybe get a tutor) and change your mind about the pharmacy, you can always put your education to great use! My best to you.

Yes go for it! It is funny but school as an adult is always a little bit easier. You don't have all the pressures of high school to stuff to worry about. Get a tutor for your Math. It makes things so much easier. Most people going to secondary schools go into financial debt. You would be with the majority. If this is the career you want and will be happy with do it. You won't be happy doing something else and you will always be wondering what if. It make a big difference in your life if you can find a job you enjoy doing.

It's important to follow your dreams as far as career goes. There are too many people who decide on careers because they are in it for the money or for something else. If you follow your dream, then you will look forward to going to work. Do what you love and you cannot go wrong.

If you are worried about math, believe me, I understand. Science and Math have always been my weakest subjects in school. But you may get a teacher who can really explain it well and/or you may have to get a tutor. Just don't dismiss what you want to do because you are afraid of not doing well in math.

You really need to weigh what you want and how badly you want it. There are so many people who don't even know what they want to do, and there are people who change careers too much of the time because they are gifted in many areas. I know too many people who go to college and major in something, just to have a bachelor's degree and then they don't even go in a field that they majored in. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but I do feel it's important to work in the field we majored in other wise what was the point in going to school.

I'm not trying to confuse you, but I really think you need to know what you want and not be afraid of what it's going to take for you to get what you want. If you have another dream for a career, maybe you need to look into it if you are that worried about math; something that will take less math and science to take. Only you can make the decision no matter what others say and it has to be a decision you can live with. Something to think about is talking to a career advisor at school; sometimes they can give us tools to help us decide such things. Good luck. I wish you well on your decision.

Yes of course do what you need to do. My pharmacist always hints me to go back to Pharmacy School and screw being a technician. Don't be scared of school, it's a gradual learning process. Plus, they won't just throw you in Calc class. Seek guidance from your Pharmacist. They've been through it and I'm pretty sure they would be willing to help out if you have any questions. I'll do it. I just entered mortgage life and am planning to go back in a couple of years. I'm 21. and yes. It's not too late.

Good luck!

Counting.
are you good at COUNTING? and Matching colors and shapes.
I hope so.. hate a pharmacist that is color blind or can't distinguish shapes.
anyhow
are you not good at math.. because you dislike mathematics? Make sure to check in advance to what level of Mathematics you will have to achieve for the Pharmacy degree.
Did you never work hard enough on the math? THe key to success is not talent. it is hard work. period. so.. no matter WHAT field of endeavor you pursue there are going to be things you do not LIKE that you are going to have to work hard at .. very hard at. its part of life. Successful people keep working at 'things they aren't good at' til they are GOOD at it.
Boring, middle of the road people avoid obstacles and hardships and take the easy road.

SOOOO....

if you LOVE pharmacy. Then start waking up in the morning saying .. i LOVE mathematics. I am GOOD at mathematics and soon.. you will be.. (if ya keep reading and studying)

without a doubt I believe that you should follow your dreams. Mainly becasue this is really what you want to do and if you feel like you really should do it then go for it becasue if you don't you will always be wondering what if. and for that money situation you could always get grants and scholarships. So follow your dreams and good luck.

Yes... You should follow your dreams...

It does not matter where the train takes you, but it matters whether you choose to get onto the train or not.

and if you believe you can handle, you will be right about it.
