x=(2+5)/2=3.5
y=(1-(-2))/2=3/2=1.5
answer is (3.5,1.5)
you made a mistake in calculating y: you subtracted 2 when you should have subtracted -2. thats ok, everybody makes mistakes.
Hope that helps!

the answer is B(8,-5)
because M is the midpoint of those two points. A and B.
This is my calculations
(2+x)/2=5
x=10-2
x=8
(1+y)/2=-2
y=-4-1
y=-5
therefore, the coordinates of B is (8,-5)...

Answer: Point B is (8, -5).
Consider the x and y values.
By translation, the x value of pt.A goes form 2 to the x value of pt.M, and it is a distance of 3 units.
By translation, the y value of pt.A goes from 1 to the y value of pt.M, and it is a distance of -3. So the translation distance is (3,-3). Since pt.M is the mid-point, the same translation distance again from pt.M will bring you to pt.B.
pt A (2,1)
................(3,-3)
pt M (5,-2)
................(3,-3)
pt B (8,-5)

A(-a million,3) and M(-3,5) will furnish us with sufficient suggestion to locate factor B We take the version between M & A and upload to M to locate B M - A = (-2, 2) (-2,2) + M(-3,5) = B(-5,7)
