i have many conversation with my friends , i saved it by message archive , but someone fixed my Y!M and lost it , how can i find it ? Did yahoo save it on their server ? pls help me , i'm in need of that !!!! Thanks

Hi,
If you manage to get your .dat files back then try using the following to decode the files to see if they are valid.. You could ask the person you were chatting with if they have the archive of your conversation. you can then use the program below to view their .dat files of the conversation just as if it were yours.

click messenger scroll down to preferences, then in the new menue click archive check in Enable archive, and un check the Automatically delete older files.
Now u can save the archive for ever.
when ever u want to formate ur hard disk just copy yahoo messenger folder in drive c. and save it in other drive or flash drive, and paste it in to new fresh installed window in drive c in yahoo messenger folder.

Sorry dear, I dont think that yahoo will save it on its server.. it will be only in your local folder.. but once its gone, then its almost impossible to get it back.. because i had the same problem!!
