Very normal, It is just where her head is resting on the mattress when she is asleep. Don't worry it will grow back soon.
All the best to you and baby

It sounds like it. You may noticed that your hair will start falling out soon. This is the point where all of your hormones are getting regulated in your body AND leaving your baby's body.
My oldest was so strange looking w/o his hair at this age, his pix don't even look like him. BUT, keep in mind that any concerns you have should probably be addressed to your MD.
Case in point-when my oldest was 3 weeks old, he had what looked like heat rash. I called the hospital (it was a Saturday) & took him in. Good thing, he had a staph infection! But, we caught it in the early stages. Don't ever let anyone feel you are an overprotective mom.

it is...my friend had a baby last June..this kid had thick black hair and alot of it..i had never seen anything like it...time went by and around 3 months old i got to see her again and she was completely bald...i was like what the hell happened...

my friend did take her to the doctor because it alarmed her and he told her that it is normal...however, if it continued up until 6-7 months, then bring her back for a check up...this baby started growing her hair back at 5 months, every spot was covered except this big spot on the back of her head...that was because she spent most of her day on her back...

its common but if you are really, call your doctor

Yes its quiet normal, my little boys hair fell out and was a little bald for some time, but he now has very thick hair, also my daughter had thick hair and a little bald patch at the back of her head where she slept, don't worry but if you are concerned then have a chat with your health visitor.

It's very normal. I have an almost-6-month old baby and she had more hair when she was born that what she has now! And she wasn't born with much hair!.... The pediatrician says that eventually the hair will grow. Congrats on your new baby!!

Dont worry its normal. Your baby will have a bald patch at the back of the head cos as they lay awake, looking around it wears away-but it grows back.
My daughter has fine hair + i thought it would never grow.she still looked bald when she was 2yrs.but she's 9 now and has lovely straight blonde hair, which is long enough for her to nearly sit on.
My son just had a bald patch at the back of his head+ the top he had 'cradle cap'...

Yes, this is completely normal, I also wondered about this. The back of my son's head (5 months) has a completely bald spot in a perfectly straight line from where his head rests on his crib, his swing or even my chest when I hold him.

My son's hair fell out around that age. He went from having a head full of dark brown hair to being almost bald, but it eventually grew back. I am not an expert or anything, but if it is bothering you, ask her doctor.

Very normal. At that age they are starting to grow their own hair and still losing some of their pre-natal hair. By 6 months they'll be growing all their new hair and will have lost all of that pre-natal hair.
