I died 2 times in 2004.
1st time - JULY 9 - I fell 12ft. from a tree in my front yard onto a pile of already cut branches. A branch about the size of an American dime pierced my right side between two ribs and punctured my lung all the way through coming to rest behind my heart. I DIED for 1 min. 14 secs. in LIFEFLIGHT. There is approx. 14 1/2 hours of my I can't account for.
I later found out that I lacerated the SPINAL ACCESSORY NERVE in my neck and needed a unique and rare surgery to repair it.
My Drs. let me know up front that there were really no gaurentees that what they were about to do would even workout.
2nd time - NOV. 1,2004 - - The day of this special surgery my Dr. asked me " How do you feel ? " I replied " I'm sared ! "
He told me " They were too ! "
Needless to say they had to basically shutdown my heart and resp. system so there would be no movement from my body while they worked inside an area in my neck close to the central nerve center. An area about the size of a tack head.

Does a Heart Attack! Then being feed Nitro Glycerin tablets under the tounge like they were candy! Then having to be shocked back to life on the operating table count? This was just two months ago!
Or getting hit head on by another vehicle that was going 95MPH per the speed that the speedometer needle got stuck on when his dashboard crushed in! I was going 45MPH ! That is a 190MPH Collission. The first 3 of the 19 days I spent in the Hospital I cannot even recall. They said I was awake and knew everyone that came to visit. But I didn't know my own name!
ANd frequently substituted other names! Some of them were pretty wild!

well my ex-stepmom was pretty abusive not just mentally but often physically. she used to scare the **** out of me and if i sometimes see her around i feel defenseless to her words and she still scares the **** out of me. i din't think i would ever get away from her . i was always so scared. now i stand my ground and try not to let anyone in. when my father left her i was 13 going on fourteen and going into 8th grade weighing a mear 79 to 80 pounds,i took a size 12 in girils pants and double zero in juniors. i now weigh a healthy 110 and i am in 9th grade .

I almost shot myself yesterday. Not becaue I am suicidal...just because I am an idiot. I was on the firing range with my stepson and was going to be "cool" and shoot two pistols at the same time. All was going well and then BANG and I felt rocks hit my legs. Fortunately, the bullet missed, but it scared the crap out of me (almost literally). I have always preached gun safety and then I almost made an example out of myself. :~(

I did, but it was so odd, as it didn;t last that long, but i saw the face of death.
I was hit by a car and my mind went into a fog where I saw a tall man in a black suit extending his hand towards me.
The car wasn't going that fast when it hit me, which is why is wasn't that bad. Still.....
