Maybe the storie line is even good, but there is just something about a low budget film thats not good. Sometimes even a good, hyped up move turns out to be that way. Like for instance, "Cinderella Man," and "A Beautiful Mind" were both very good...both by Imagine Entertainment and Directed by Ron Howard. But then I watched "The Missing" It was by Imagine and directed by Ron Howard, too. But it was very bad I though. I thought the story was bad, but there were also scenes in it that seemed sooooo low budget? Why do they do that?

Would you believe there are so many people that just love "B" movies ... to us they are the WORST ever!! I don't think the directors knows how bad the movie will be until after it is done. Even though Ron Howard has directed a lot of movies, he is not without flaws and he can only work with what is given to him. I know what you mean though

I don't think that b movies are bad quite the contrary. we expect too much out of entertainment. most of the movies now are remakes. b movies are the last bastion of original ideas. we have been conditioned to believe that our movies should be realistic as though we were watching an event happen instead of just sitting back and watching something fictitious. I myself try to avoid remakes. the original was meant to entertain with the tools that were available at the time and they did. every movie does not need to be enhanced to make it entertaining. give your senses the rest they deserve. The senses need a rest too

whether or not a movie is enjoyable is purely opinion and something with a b movie label... low budget films don't have it in the budget for large marketing campaigns.

sure, a lot of them have second-rate acting and the editing is crude and effects are mediocre, but they're not always horrid.
