i had the sims first one but i had all the extention packs aswell and that had an upstairs on it but was a pc game

Only the Pc game has a possible upstairs.
Howver, on the ps2 game, and maybe other consoles as well, I think it is possible to slightly raise small areas due to a glitch - but the sim does no actually make an upwards movement.
Perhaps when a Sims 3 is relased, other consoles may get it?

Those SIMS need more room, huh? You need the pc version. Maybe the geniuses of the Sim Universe will update the other versions but for now you'll need a pc. Happy SIM-ing!

Only the ones for the P.C. have an upstairs. the ps2,xbox etc. just didnt have the room i guess.
