D oes anyone know if the xbox 360 has been cracked to play copied games as the ps2 has?

I know support is out there in the Xbox modding community for the 360, however much like with the Xbox when that is chipped you cannot play on Xbox Live...its your choice really, no point chipping it at any time soon given the small catalog of games, but at the high retail price i can understand why the thought went through your mind.

From what I've heard it can be cracked but the effects might be catastrophic.. I advise you not to try it because xbox 360 is a 3gen console that is extremely well protected. PS2 is older so it is natural to take copied games. Maybe someday xbox 360 will be cracked too..! Good luck with that!

Not yet, it took years to hack the Xbox and it just used standard slightly aged PC parts.
It will be a while before they crack the 360... though they could get lucky.

ps2 can't be cracked but it can be chipped and i don't know about the xbox 360.

Agreed with the above, if you mess it up when your "cracking" sounds also like modding your 360, then your voiding your warranty. Which Microsoft won't replace it, they'll tell you to replace it yourself. Your not allowed to get your hands inside there stuff :)

Its typical, the 360 sounds like an aeroplane beginning up. that's why i'm advertising mine on the mo. you ought to have offered a PS3! till you're into GTA IV as much as i'm... the glitching is an asshole.

Yes but it is illegal. Therefore you have to be "in the know". I have a 360 but I have not had it altered because if it is altered the warranty is void.
