When the Tivo dual tuners first came out I bought one from Tivo directly, the problem I had was the unit strecthed the picture to 16/9 even thought I had it set for 4/3, I've had a "series 2" single tuner unit for 4 years and never had that problem, one Tivo tech told me that was normal and another told me it was not so I returned the unit.
I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem, both Tivo units where hooked up the same way, they are wired to my Yamaha receiver and then to a 50" Sony LCD 16/9 tv. Thanks for any help, Joe

I had a Tivo for 2 weeks and returned it, and I wish I never did. But some where in the setup it asked me 4:3 or 16:9 and I used 4:3 but I did play with the 16:9 just for fun.
I had a 80GB single tuner with a DVD-RW optical drive . . . I'm still mad to this day that i returned it. It was a $300 unit but because it was on sale and an older model and the display unit it was $40.00
I used it for 2 weeks with out activating it and love it with 1/2 the fetchers until the one day it said i have to activate it (and it locked up until i did the activation), so i figured if i take out the hard drive and format it, it would be fine. WRONG lol :'( after that it did not do anything so i returned it, and now after not having one i miss it so much

It's possible that you needed to adjust the tv aspect ratio to make sure they were both set to the same ratio. Your tv is also a factor in setting aspect ratio when adding other components.
