first, an organism suddenly just comes to life in a sterile environment with the ability to ingest nourishment and sustain itself, and able to procreate itself. This is in an amino acid pool. Then it crawls back into the ocean and the rest is his-story, darwins, that is.

All this evolutionary theory is big bolloney. The evolutionary science is a distraction per se and it is maintained to preserve the aethistic philosophy behind many modern scientists. The say mutations and natural selection causes new species to come about in this world. It seems with this theory they were able to create a whole chain of species to man, but the fact is one of the middle link is still missing. The missing link is called the 'aestropathicus robustus'. Some hoaxes tried to mimic this one by digging out a 17 th century skeleton and madeup a figure like the missing link and tried to pass it on as that. Later they were caught by the expert committe investigating the new find. They found it was the skeleton of a female lived earlier and they named it Lucy. Till they can come up with the missing link then the whole theory of evolution remain unresolved or speculation. But the answer to your question is mutations and natural selection, meaning mutations in ones genetic code and survival of the fittest theory creates new species.

Cross-breeding, e.g. in plants can create new species, as can mutation. If a mutated specimen is alowed to thrive and reproduce it may eventually lead to a different species.
