Both.
Depends on what stage you're in and what you're looking for.
For me, the main reason would be "to live".
Some people like the greenery and open spaces.
Others prefer knowing that you can have a pizza delivered to you at 3:30am any day of the week.
I guess I've lived in a city most of my life - I'm probably used to those things.
where some people see congestion, others see activity.
where some want a laid-back setting, others are really afraid of being idle.
It has a lot to do with what you've been used to; how old u are; single or attached; family or no family; and events in your life.
U can make a life or a living almost anywhere. It just depends on what you're looking for.

Actually, my husband and I are attracted to wide open spaces and found that by getting away from the cities and being willing to take jobs in a more remote area (we live in Wyoming) we've been able increase our earning potentials. So although we both work out of necessity, we're allowed to live our lives as we wish. Bonus... we're outside year round and get to see parts of the state that few do!

Well, it depends. but if your going to ask me, there's no place like home. But one of my main reasons why I wanted to go abroad is to earn more and visit different cultures in other countries. I think people rather go to cities so that they can make a living. There are a lot of oppurtunities there when in terms of money and career growth.
