Well, there are two different parents to Halloween, the Celts, and religion. They really are the same, but the time period is what differentiates between what I mean, originally, costumes were worn by the Celts on All Hallows Eve to scare off the spirits. They believed that the connection between the afterlife was weakened on All Hallows Eve, thus the spirits could come to our world. The church morphed this, they developed a holiday known as All Saints Day, in order to honor the saints without a day. All Hallows Eve was the night before this, and as with All Souls Day, and All Saints Day, it was celebrated by dressing up as saints, devils, and angels. So, no, I doubt it is offensive. I wouldn't, not really, iconography should hold little importance to my beliefs. Halloween is for fun, and, honestly, I'm sure that if humanity really tried, everything could be construed as offensive.

Well Darlene, I had to dress my son one time cheap and quick...soooooooooo I got an old long sleeve shirt. Buy an assortment box of one serving cereal . plastic knives and some red paint or nail polish (red). Safety pin the boxes to your clothes, push the plastic knives though the boxes and paint blood dripping from the knives and boxes. YOUR A CEREAL KILLER!..Corny I know but that's why it's fun. So if you get down to the wire and still haven't found anything else you like. You can do this quick and cheap!.And take off easy if you want to change into normal clothes.Of course you can paint your face with blood, wild hair etc. Whatever you wear have a great time! Sandy

It's not particularly flashy, but you can make tea bag costume easily, and if my mom can wear it hostessing all night it's comfortable. Just take two white trash bags and fill them part way with leaves from outside. Roll the tops down to seal the bag and then staple the corners together. Then with some string and a piece of paper make the tag of your favorite brand, and attach it to the bags. Just wear all black underneath, and maybe carry a tea cup as an accessory. Also you can attach sugar packets to earrings you don't like anymore and wear those.

OK ya can go as a bag of leaves and it is cheap the cost of leaves is nothing and your neighbors will love you for cleaning up your yard or theirs lol or speaking of cleaning you can go as a cleaning person with a broom or mop or whatever ya have that is handy and works or speaking of working ya could always go as a professional BOSS which also you probably have on hand cause everyone has at least one nice outfit to their name and if not you can pick them up at any and every thrift store. GOOD LUCK Happy Halloween

Deb from Napoleon Dynamite. Just look for a pink dress like she wore to the dance with Pedro (with big puffy sleeves) and do your hair like she did (kind of a sideways ponytail).

A corpse bride with an old wedding dress (or a fancy white one) that you can find in a thrift store.

A bunch of grapes. Get some purple balloons and attach them to a purple sweatsuit or outfit.

A gift. Decorate a large cardboard box with giftwrap, cut holes in the box for your head, arms, and legs and put ribbons in your hair. Use lots of sparkly face makeup with it. You can wear leggings or tights and some cute party shoes.

You could be a spiral bound notebook, it's easy to make, you just need some cardboard, wire and string. Use the cardboard as the front and back of the notebook (one in front of you, one behind), loop the wire through it on the side or the top (thus, the spiralbound part) and attatch the string to hang over your shoulders. Good luck! (and don't be a vagina. For the love of god.)
