just ask people of offer a raffle and sell the tickets, you can do anything to make sponser money, or another way is to phone up local businesses around your area and ask them if they would sponser you or your football team. this often works if the company if funded with enough sponsership money.

By footballer I would assume you mean one of two things football player or if your not from the US soccer player.
Secondly I would hope your on the varsity team
With that said ask your coach for advice and apply to schools and mark down you would need financial help and you want to play the sport and the coaches from those schools may offer you scholarships and if your actually a very good player it may be a full scholarship for 4 years. As for playing as a career just remember this Teams don't take players that stink so you better be good

Sponsor yourself! Work, save, pay your own tuition and expenses. Why does everyone have their hand out! Of all the people who could afford to sponsor you, do you think anyone sponsored them?
