How do you get over feeling weird watching sex scenes ?

.. especially when your parents are there ? Please don't bother with the silly answers either, this is actually a serious Q.
I'm old enough yet I feel like such a child - it just makes me feel so uncomfortable, am i the only one who gets this ? =/

Well it's easy have you ever thought that your parents are just as uncomfortable as you?

Maybe they are not as it's a normal behaviour (sex that is) so why hide it, and make it seem seedy when all you can do is maybe say **Gee that's a bit graphic** or just sit and say nought.

I'm sure most parents feel a little uncomfortable with children watching, I say this cos no matter how old we become ,parents still treat us as children.

I guess it depends on how open you have been growing up,personally I have always been frank and open so being embarrassed was never and issue.

Then again it comes down to religion,culture etc etc...cheers

See this is all very normal. The present day civilization has made us feel the way you are feeling. See in olden days there were no concrete walls and partitions to seperate the rooms and children had all the exporture to watch the sex performed by their elders. That is the reason In olden days people used to get their children married once they are old enough to understand what sex is and hence there was no problem and the young use to watch and follow the same and since they are married they never used to change their sex partners and were having safer sex and also they never thought that sex is a taboo as we do today and used to consider this equal to eat, sleeping and nature calls. Hence child do not feel bad about it. This is life and everybody will do it. The only thing I would suggest you is just keep yourself mum during these scenes as if nothing special / averse has happened and the rest all will be ok.

I get a weird feeling too, and I'm an married adult. The weird feeling is telling you something---fast forward through the scene, leave the room, do something else, choose another movie. It's sick how much sex the movie makers put in shows--it's as good as pornography. . The only sex I want to see is the sex I'm involved in with my husband. Of course watching it on tv/movies doesn't feel right, it's wrong

you have been conditioned to be how you are. When you were a child growing up, there were certain things your parents said was bad. This is still in your mind and will make you feel uncomfortable.

Everyone, not matter what age, gets uncomfortable watching sexy scenes in front of their parents. It'a usually a subject that we don't like to discuss with our parents, and they don't feel confortable either about it. It really depends on how you were brought up and on your parents attidtudes about sex.

Yeah, avoid watching sexually related material with your parents. It's inappropriate and SHOULD make you feel uncomfortable. No one feels comfortable watching sex scenes with their parents.

Refuse to watch them! You are an adult and if something makes you uncomfortable then walk away from it. Don't force it on yourself, you are who you are. Your just aren't comfortable with that much insight into someone else's private moment, even if they are made up characters. You do you and forget trying to conform.
