Will prenancy be detected no matter the type of ultrasound performed (abdominal, pelvic, or pregnancy)? I assume they are pretty much all the same....

Been having pregnancy symptoms for 2 months. Ultrasound results came back as "clear". I was just uncertain as to what specific ultrasound they performed, or if it even mattered.

The "scanning" was mostly concetrated over the uterus. (between the hip bones)

If it is there, they should be able to see it. Early in a pregnancy there is not much to see. I had an abdominal ultrasound at 5 weeks and only saw a sac. They did another at 7 weeks and I saw the heartbeat.
Also, if they can't find anything and you are positive that you are pregnant, it could be ectopic. I had a tubal pregnancy and they couldn't find anything in my uterus. And I was sent for 4 ultrasounds within 2 weeks. Eventually they noticed a lump by my ovary.
I hope they find it in the right place and everything works out for you. Good luck.

Well it depends. Early on in pregnancy an abdominal ultrasound can't pick up the baby so to confirm pregnancy usually a pelvic is performed. I had a pelvic at 8 weeks.
I think it depends on your body. If you are trying to avoid a pelvic and are under 10 weeks they probably won't see it with an abdominal. They won't do a pelvic past 12 weeks, I don't believe. I only had one pelvic and that was to confirm gestational age (at 7 1/2 weeks) at 14 weeks and all subsequent ones were abdominal.

Ultrasound is ultrasound. If there's a baby to be found they'll find it (they also look for uterine changes as well). If they tell you your uterus is clear, then it is, and something else is causing your symptoms.

Are they looking for a baby? If theyre not checking your reproductive system they could very well not see a very early fetus.
If you think you are pregnant you need to tell your doctor before your ultrasound, so he can decide what best to do.
