Aging is the most fabulous experience there is. You don't have to care what anybody thinks about you or your clothes, you don't have to follow the crowd, you can enjoy being you, the things that come out of your mouth are less likely to be stupid , the things you do are less likely to be stupid, you value the little and big experiences of life, you have the benefit of hindsight in many areas, and therefore always seem to make the right decisions, you have fallen in love and out of love, have experienced sadness and happiness, have lost friends and gained friends, have been in work and out of work, have experienced sickness and health, have experienced the sadness and joy of death, the sadness and joy of birth, have had the luxury of being alive and living each day to its fullest, and most of all the absolute joy of being able to say, its my life- i have made mistakes but i have survived and i love my life for what is still to come. life is sooo much more enjoyable with a few wrinkles and laugh lines - i hope i live to be 100 and wrinkly and still full of love for life and stories to tell and things i want to achieve.

It's a little sad to see your youth slipping away. But there are so many wonderful things if you just embrace aging. Wisdom, respect, authority, are some of the benefits. Also you finally have figured yourself out and your role in life so all you have to do is live it and enjoy it.

It is linked to how MEN see women aging and if they accept it positively. What I am trying to say is that if a woman's partner ( and society to its fullest extent) accepts a woman that goes slowly through the aging process then it is a more easier and pleasant change for her.

an uphill battle - because of the pressure from men to look perfect & because so many women can afford & are willing to have plastic surgery these days, so that leaves the rest of us that want to do it the natural way dreading aging - so much of a women's self-worth unfortunately, is based on her looks and shape of her body - society today puts so much emphasis on looking perfect - it's really a pity.

Women don't like the aging process beacuse they lose their looks and become "invisible" in society. This doesn't mean that they don't have fun, or that they can't achieve or continue to learn.
It's just that everywhere you go the only people who get attention are young, beautiful and without clothes.

I feel wiser, but think the opposite sex sees me as less valuable. The older I get the more my sex drive increases, which is great except my partners is decreasing as we age. I've never felt more confident or alive, but I'm a little depressed that society doesn't put as much value on older women as older men. ( I'm thirty-something)I however am happy with me!

Women think aging is sexy for men, (Bruce Willis) and dreadful for women.

Aging is a slow death. Your skin gets wrinkled, your height decreases, you forget things, and then...
...you loose all your dignity.
Sad.
