I paid $25 for the do-it -yourself divorce kit. I filled in the blanks, and it took 20 days. The waiting period depends on your state.

Just the legal stuff can be as low as about $500 to as high as $100,000...

My ex-ex and I went through the entire process, we had to sell the house, each had to buy smaller separate homes, we went into deep consumer debt because of it.

5 yrs later we are still paying for the mistakes.

Best solution is to seek marital counseling and avoid the divorce.

Tough times in a marriage can truly strengthen the marriage.

Depends on various factors: is it contested or uncontested? Are there any shared assets or properties?? What are the grounds for divorce-------irreconcilible differences, adultery, abuse, etc.? Children?--sole custody, joint custody, visitation issues?? These & probably more depends on how much its going to cost you & also how long the process will take.....The bottom line is that whatever issue of the divorce process is involved, of how much or little in regards all of the above, the cost of the divorce is going to determine that.
