an alsation, but i never understood, why the alsation always seemed to behave sadistic to the rabbit, like barking aggressively at the rabbit, biting its hutch trying to get in at the rabbit? does anyone no why my dog displayed that aggressive behaviour at that time was it predatory?

its probably part of your dogs natural instinct towards the rabbit. rabbits are prey to alot of animals in the wild and also domestic ones and dogs often hunt them - ie - hunting dogs - whippets etc. he probably could scent the rabbit and wanted to get at it. he was just acting naturally to him

It's the dog's natural predatory instinct. The only way you can normally break that kind of aggressive behavior is through strict punishment which I prefer not to use.
