Overall I think the country is headed in the right direction. I think President Bush has lead this country based upon sound, grounded values instead of polling to see which way the wind is blowing. I know that a majority of Americans right now do not agree with me - but they would be wrong.

The President's tax cuts have accomplished a great deal; soaring economy (Dow over 12000 for the first time EVER), declining low interest rates (again), historically low unemployment (4.6%), record high home ownership, especially among minority blacks and hispanics, low inflation.

The Department of Homeland Security has kept America safer - like it or not we have not had another terrorist attack on our soil since 9-11. You rarely ever hear of the accomplishments of any law enforcement agency - they are not ones to brag. Too bad - I'll bet there are many terrorist plots that have been uncovered before they had a chance to hurt us - despite the efforts of the NYT to undermine our national security by revealing classified information.

Now for Iraq - The President DID NOT LIE to get us into war. President Clinton LIED under oath about his sexual relations, with that woman. A lie is an intentional deception - President Bush, just like Britain, Russia, France and China ALL believed the intelligence that Sadam had WMDs. And WMDs WERE found in Iraq - the news media just doesn't like to be proven wrong so the discoveries went unnoticed. No - it wasn't large, arsenal-like numbers of WMD - but they were there. Like it or not, we and the world are safer now that Sadam Hussein is no longer in power over the frightened masses in Iraq. No one said it was going to be easy. I regret the loss of human life in this war, both civilian and military. I do not however regret the loss of the terrorists bent on keeping Iraq as a terrorist stronghold. Iran and Syria will continue to send in their sponsored terrorists to tear apart that country. We CANNOT let the terrorists win. This is not a civil war, there are not Iraqi citizens taking up arms against the Coalition and Iraqi police. These are terrorists! The same terrorists that blew up 3,000 Americans - remember them? I would like to see our soldiers come home and come home safe - my brother is one of them. But these soldiers are committed to their mission, they are proud to serve their country and their Commander-in-Chief, they are proud of what they are doing. Every poll taken of the military show over 80-85% stand by the President. That is an overwhelming majority - if Democrats won any election by that margin they would call it a landslide, a mandate and herald it from every corner.

I stand by our President, not blindly but faithfully. I don't agree with him 100% - I don't agree with ANYONE 100%. He is after all human - remember that.

No, I do not think he is doing a good job.
As president, I respect the office Bush holds...but as an American, I have every right to agree or disagree with his choices without fear of imprisonment.
Yet, I feel that my civil rights are slowly eroding under his administration and the day may come where I am not allowed to voice my opposition without suffering consequences.

Between his questionable leadership and uncertain support staff, he is not doing well.

Absolutely not. And I cannot fathom how there are still people out there that support him so strongly.
