I'm looking to change banks and I heard a radio ad that said that this bank offers interest on checking accounts with no minimum balance. I thought it was compass but upon looking at the website I dont think that was it. Does anyone know which bank I'm talking about? If not, what is a good bank and why?

interest bearing checking accounts aren't worth the trouble, the interest is usually something like .25%, and from what I've seen it's only significant if you have about $10,000 in there.
checking accounts are for money you're going to spend, savings accounts are for money you're going to save.
I suggest looking at ingdirect.com or emigrantdirect.com, both are online banks with excellent interest rates that you can use in combination with whatever checking account you have, wherever.
