He has got a lot of talent, believe me. I've seen some beautiful matches of him and some beautiful goals too. Unfortunately now he isn't passing a very good time, if you think that he hasn't scored since the first match of the EPL, but he has played really good matches, helping the team and helping other players to score instead of him too. Maybe he should improve his character a little and mature but he has got a lot of quality. You should watch him play continuously before judging a player coz he can't always play exellent matches, he is not a robot.

Wayne Rooney is an aggressive, offensive, persistent player.Dude, this guy is pretty good its just that he has had his problems. He is mostly misunderstood by coaches, managers and to worsen it people say that if Rooney would've kept his temper,England would've made it into the Semi -finals of the WC,which is not true because Portugal was much better.true, one may feel like beating him with a club at times. Also, hes just 21,Adan much more accomplished than many more players in England and the world....

Hey well i was in Scotland for half of the summer, and watched all of the world cup, the thing is that wayne rooney is just like David Beckham they arent as good as much as they get credit for but over there football(soccer) players are like gods, everyone has to be in their buisness and absouluty loves them, they are kind of like are celebrities over here.

I'll admit that Rooney did show some moments of brilliance in the first 2 years of his professional career, but I always wondered if it was just a flash-in-the-pan à la Paul Gasoigne/Michael Owen. Now I think he's reached the dreaded plateau, but I argue that his early popularity was due to his age (the media always loves a prodigy) and his skills with the ball.

His ability to score goals from distance makes him a crowd pleaser and constant candidate for highlight reels. Also, as a striker, he has the all-important skill of being able to run at/take on defenders with the ball at his feet, meaning that he doesn't need to be 'spoon-fed' the ball in order to score. Some strikers (like Michael Owen) are strictly finishers and have no dribbling skill, so arguably they are easier to mark and make it tougher to break down defenses.

A striker like Roonery, that can collect the ball from midfield, will stretch the defense more and ultimately create more gaps and scoring opportunities for himself and others, as defenders have to commit themselves to covering him.

Obviously anybody that sys he stinks didnt see the game today. He basically beat Bolton by himself. He is an amazing talent just loses his head sometimes. But he is easily one of the best in the world, can change a game in an instant and take it over.

wayne rooney is a good player but has been given too much than he deserves. there are a lot better and effective players than him.

People think he is good because he is...He's had it rough the past few months, God only knows why...I'd love to know. But he is regarded as one of the best young talents in the world today. I like him for the sheer fact that he isn't regarded as a hearthrob (at least not to me) and there are actually people who like him because of his abilities. Some people hate him, but this is just my opinion of it.

I think he's a good person, but when it comes to judging his talent as a player i think he's overrated.
