Not your personality but your moods yes because it controls your hormones.

The oral contraceptive pill contains hormones and it alters the balance of your own hormones. If you have only just started using this method of family planning the mood swings could settle, if not see your G.P for an alternative

I agree with jessigirl00781 it cant change your personality however as it can alter your mood (my sister was quite angry on her old type) it may seem like you have a different personality to those around you. That is if you are on a type of pill that doesn't agree with you, talk to your doctor about trying a different kind.

No. If you are acting like a psycho on the pill, you were probably a psycho before you were on the pill. Some brands of birth control pills can increase depression in people who are prone to it, but you have to already have the pre-existing tendency. If you are having issues, get off the pill and go to therapy.

Not permanently but as contraceptives for women are just hormone tablets whilst using them yes they can cause mood-swings and general stroppiness, this will probably affect your lover/s more than you however as he/she will no doubt bear the brunt of it.

Probably....they have hormones in them. You can request a prescription for a pill w/ a lower dose of hormones (i.e. Lo-Gestrin...I think that's the name).

Yes. I used to take it but my husband told me to stop cause he could deal with my mood swings.(I'd go from screaming and him to a sobbing mess in 2 seconds.)
