My husband is a captain always away, he tries as much as he can to mantain communication with his family. well on the other hand my relationship with his family soured this year,( read some of my queries to know why and how), so his mother just called and said "hallo,is paco there?"i said no,and she hungs up. what would u think abt this family?

his family is screwed up. they obviously don't care if their son is happy or not. she just needs to chiil out, and give u some respect for being her son's wife.

Let it pass, she obviously doesn't have any concern for you. It is a shame though, one day, it not already, there are going to be children involved, and her pettiness is going to have to stop or the kids will pick up on it. It is funny, my mom acts very similar and my kids don't understand why grandma is rude to daddy. They love her, but it upsets them. My daughter asked her one day, and my mom had the nerve to say it is because he needs to find a better job, bring in more money, so that we can move to a bigger house. Shouldn't she be happy that he has a job, we have a home, and we are making it on our own?

Well, if your relationship soured, then you can't expect anything else from her. She doesn't want to talk to you. You can't change it so accept it and let it go. If your husband comes back, he can talk to his family. It's too bad that relationship fall apart, but it's human nature. Don't think about it too much, just accept the fact.

This is your husbands family, right? You need to bury the hatchet for the sake of your marriage. I have met few people who dont fight with the in-laws. You might just need to step up and be the bigger person. It is not easy, but you will win some major points with the hubby.

do the same to her. phone her, when she answers hang up. then keep doing it until it drives her mad.
