My husband works really hard for our family and is a wonderful daddy and companion. This morning he told me that he was feeling a little worn out (stressed w/ work & all) and I was trying to think of some last minute ideas to make his birthday weekend extra special. We are having a bd party for my son on Sunday so that day is kinda shot, but throw some ideas at me! Thanks a lot!

An answer from a man

The old saying, "show up naked, bring beer" is a good one.

Assuming that you have a good relationship, there is probably nothing that he wants more that some special, alone, adult time with the woman he loves. Especially if you throw in something special you know he likes.

Its what I ask for for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, Valentines day, Arbor day, Thursday...

Anyway...

For me, as a man and a husband, sex with the "little woman" is the best gift of all, and its free!!!

And there is no better stress reliever! Physically or emotionally.

Send the kids to grandma and spend the whole day in bed only stopping to replenish fluids.

its the lil things that can make a man happy, and with a childs bday happening your money is probly shot, so have a night you and him time. have a treasurehunt of him finding you panty's, and spread them thru out the house. pamper him with a foot to head body rub down. even take it to extremes and lay out a plastic tarp or a blanket you don't care about, and do a total body eat feast of chocolate whip cream, whatever sweets he likes, and if he doesn't do the sweets do a oil rub down on the plastic and make it fun for him. there are so many possibilties for a relaxing time with your husband becasue the ideas are limitless, you just have to go crazy with a surprise he would never imagine you doing, the crazier anf funnier the better. be creative, and naughty and you can't go wrong. remember he's you husband, and you have a kid so he has already seen the worst side of you, during child birth, so don't be emarrassed to do somthing sponatneus and not the norm

spend a weekend out with him - just the two of you- but make he does not do anything at all, you do everything, from kissing to "riding him". Take him to a lodge that is situated in a bush, near a river or lake or whatever, just away from the City and all the noise. Get someone to look after the kids and enjoy

why not get someone to watch the kids for the weekend and you and he take a weekend getaway? You dont have to spend a lot of money. Get a moderate priced room somewhere and make him feel like the king of his dominion? You would be surprised at the benefits you will receive in return.

The best gift from my family is spending a day together. Take your husband out to dinner and the show as a family. It is not the cost of the gift that matters but the time together.

My wife planned a great night for me once. She had somebody come watch the kids and she took me out dinner. After dinner she told me she wanted to go out to the beach. She then drove me to a hotel in a neighboring city. She had already had our bags there along with a bottle of wine. We had a great night enjoying one another as we got relax away from everyting.

I think the best present would be a couples massage at a spa. You would be surprised what spa services you can find on-line searching in your city. Stress reliever for both of you and he won't feel as awkward! :)

Go on a short trip for the weekend, somewhere close to home that is romantic, and serve him breakfast in bed.

How about a reprieve. Plan a short trip for you and him. Just a week-end will do. That will relieve a lot of stress, and make this b'day unforgettable!
