Teen Spirit Stick deodorant, comes in four fragrances, "Sweet Strawberry," "Cool Coconut," "Berry Blossom," and my personal favorite, "Shower Fresh."
The Nirvana song "Smells like Teen Spirit" was unwittingly named after the deodorant when a friend spray-painted the words that became the song's title on singer Kurt Cobain's bedroom wall. (His girlfriend wore the deodorant.) He didn't know about the brand and took it to be a compliment and slogan and ran with it. According to his own statements, he didn't know about the brand until after the single was released.
So, to Kurt Cobain and Nirvana, I believe that Teen Spirit smelled like rebellion, non-conforminty, the punk movement, etc.

Interesting Q,,,and I'm naive enough to not know if you're talking about a fragrance sold over any counter,,,BUT I offer a suggestion, with no offense meant.
I was a TEEN at one point, and pretty spirited, even then.
On it's base level "Teen Spirit" if it can be "smelled" is likely a fragrance combining, sweat, phermones, testosterone, foods, pets, shower products, tooth paste/mouth wash, colognes, etc.)
I suspect that can hardly be "bottled"

Well, there's about 4 different scents of Teen Spirit Deodorant ranging from watermelon to cucumber. :) I'm such a smart@$$

Hi :-) ! Maybe it really is all the associations you would get with the general associations of the spirit of a teen? Smells like chocolate or decadent, depending on the mood of the moment... and maybe whether it is a boy or a girl? Hmmm :o) ...
