1. cos they are the under dog and when the under dog wins it's good and everyone jumps on the bandwagon...when the euro club wins..."ahhh we expected it etc".

2. It's "the new world" (north & south america) vs the old world europe. Bragging rights. It's a way of life in Sth America even more than Europe.

3. Money - euro clubs spend all the money. e.g., Shevchenko to Chelsea for 31 million pounds...now say Chelsea play Boca Juniors of South America for the World Club Cup. 2 Chelsea players fees could buy the entire Boca Squad. Imagine Sheva doesn't score and they lose !! They look stupid & it costs...money!

4. The X-factor - The underdog team of Sth America always has the unknown. Unknown players that get 3 buses to get to training & are the next big thing and were so poor they tied bags to their feet to play and they've just turned 171 (-: - no one knows second string Sth American players...and this will alway scare Euro clubs

5. Pride - Beating millionnaires. The poor clubs always get the extra gear against the big brother. Same for individuals, they always wanna prove a point against the millionnaires, see how good they are, embarrass 'em. Euro clubs are always the richer clubs compared to Sth America and European footbal clubs fear this.

They do not fear south American clubs....who told you that? One thing is for sure, European clubs admire and praise southamerican soccer for it's talent and artistry
European soccer is way more physical than south american soccer which is more technical...the biggest clubs in the world are capable of buying all of the Latin-american talent....they do not fear nothing

cos european clubs r based on hype- produced by themselves & ofcourse media hype.why do think these european players like lampard gerrard etc all fail to fire in the world cup also. it is cos they r not worth the hype.
on the other hand, south american players r not hyped that much & they knw that to stay in business they hav to be the best. thats y south amerocan teams do so well generally even in the world cup. & the players like ronaldinho who begin to get the media hype hv a downfall.
