it is the memory that your computer uses to run all your programmes and system etc ...it is refered to as a stick ...because of its shape

Well a stick of ram is a basically a memory stick that you can put into your PC to add more memory space. It is hardware and you have to open up your computer and put it into the motherboard. If you don't know where to put it Google it or check for a diagram of your motherboard.

The Physical RAM which is in the Motherboard (MB), should be name as RAM chip but due to the length so it is called a stick instead.

It is actually the RAM- Random Access Memory which comes in the shape of a stick. In can be either be inserted into the computer itself. or it can be inserted externally into a USB port

RAM stands for Random access memory. Its the memory that works for you temp. memory allocation work ( like buffer ).
