Why a threat?You either drink or you don't, without pubs they would just drink at home anyway,so its a moot point.

pubs are meant for the boys who have money but no proper guidance. if such boys / girls have no where to go than it will be a greater problem. it is good that they are booked in a pub & they spend their money-time there. It is their parents problem & fault that pubs are flourishing in India or anywhere else. we should follow our culture & share its values with the new generation, not just scolding them & preaching them.. encouraging them to read more of our literature will alone help in generating ethics.

Yes it is threat to our culture and i m lucky that i live in gujarat and here no pub is permitted.
